The Circle of Fifths is an alternative way of viewing the chromatic scale where each step on the circle represents one “fifth”, which is the closest and most consonant non-octave interval. Using this tool, we can create shapes by connecting the individual notes of different chord variations to create a visual representation of their harmonies.

The zine depicts each song of Pink Floyd’s album Wish You Were Here. Each shape is represents a chord in the song, and each point is a note on the circle of fifths. The album cover represents the melody of the title track Wish You Were Here, with a color palette reminiscent of the original album cover.
